LIVING IN XYLOKASTRO

Xylokastro is a small coastal town in the Peloponnese located 30km west of Corinth. It has approximately 6000 inhabitants during winter, but in the summer the population increases to 12000.

It is known for its pine forest by the sea, calm atmosphere, and strong local life. It is also less than 40 minutes from the mountains (Ziria mountain, the 5th highest top of Greece).

The town is walkable and human-scaled, with all essential services nearby: shops, cafés, pharmacies, and public transport. Life in Xylokastro follows a slow and balanced rhythm, far from big-city pressure. It allows volunteers to experience authentic everyday life in Greece, while staying connected to nature and the community.

Because of its location, Xylokastro is the perfect starting point for your trips! You can travel easily to Athens and the third biggest and student city, Patras.
